Product Description
All the tubes used in serpentine coils are small-diameter ones, with sizes ranging from φ32mm to φ70mm. What’s more, the overall thickness of these tubes varies a lot. For instance, the superheater tubes have a relatively thick wall – up to 13mm – while the reheater tubes are much thinner, around 3 to 4mm.
The tube panel structure of serpentine coils is pretty complex. They have a large bending radius and big overall dimensions: the length of a tube panel can go as long as 22 meters, and the width can reach 4 meters.
When it comes to welding the butt joints of the tubes in serpentine coils, several welding methods work. You can use manual TIG welding, mechanical TIG + MIG welding, or mechanical hot-wire TIG welding – just to name a few common options.
